Frame Rates and Frame Counts.en US
The frame-rate selector provides Auto, 24000 / 1001 (about 23.976 fps), 24000 / 1000 (24 fps), 25000 / 1000 (25 fps), 30000 / 1001 (about 29.97 fps), 50000 / 1000 (50 fps), and 60000 / 1001 (about 59.94 fps). RESER / VED is a reserved placeholder and cannot be used for calculation.
A reliable frame rate from the imported source takes precedence. Auto chooses the valid rate with the smallest timestamp-to-integral-frame error.
Changing the selector recalculates only the display in the Frames column; it does not change chapter timestamps.
- With Round frames disabled, the raw
seconds x frame ratevalue is shown. - With it enabled, the nearest integer frame is shown and colored by error classification.

Settings > Editing > Frame error threshold accepts
0.01to0.30frames and defaults to0.15.
The main-window checkbox takes precedence. When not rounded, the configured decimal display is used when selected; otherwise the raw value is shown. In Auto mode with rounding enabled, the detected rate and confidence are recorded in the status bar and logs.
To convert timestamps from their source frame rate to the selected rate, right-click the selector and choose Convert to current frame rate. This changes the underlying chapter data, unlike a display-only change. Frame editing, Celltimes/QPFile output, shifting frames, and Zones require a valid active rate.
