Phase 1 of the 1 August 2026 credit-billing launch (DEL-34234; page spec DEL-34239). Two changes: (A) move Billing and Plans onto the credit model; (B) remove the monthly usage-ceiling mentions. Do not merge — for review.

Atlassian was unreachable in this environment, so the work follows the prompt's Phase 1 facts. Naming follows terminology.md and the prompt's glossary terms.

Per-page summary

Change A — credit model

/administration/billing

  • New Credits and pay-as-you-go section: credits (1 credit = $1), the $100 sign-up grant, PAYG (card on file), grant-first drawdown, and monthly card billing — usage beyond granted credits is charged to the card on the first of each month for the previous month's usage (cadence unchanged from before the launch).
  • Time-bound note: Free accounts existing before the 1 August 2026 migration receive a one-time $25 transition credit (see scope note below).
  • Invoices and payments: billing periods are monthly; charges for usage beyond granted credits are raised on the first of the following month. Skipped status now notes it can mean usage was fully covered by granted credits.
  • Remove a payment card: removed the previous warning that removing a card downgrades to Free (it does not). Per review, the no-card consequence is omitted entirely for Phase 1 — the section now goes straight to the steps.
  • Description/intro updated to mention credits. "Model training discount" name unchanged.

/administration/plans

  • Reframed Free (get started with the $100 credit grant, no card) and Pro (a self-serve tier paid via PAYG) under the credit model; added a credits/grant framing paragraph.
  • Time-bound note: same $25 transition credit for Free accounts existing at the 1 August 2026 migration.
  • Upgrade to Pro: grant-first drawdown, then monthly card billing on the first of each month for the previous month's usage (cadence unchanged); kept the exact-second calculation.
  • Kept Model training discount (name + mechanics) and the volume discount including its "above 500 hours per month" threshold (a discount threshold, not a ceiling).

Change B — remove monthly usage ceiling

/administration/plans — deleted "Pro usage is capped at 6,000 hours per month."

/speech-to-text/batch/limits — removed the whole Hourly usage limits section (heading, "process each month" sentence, Free 10 / Paid 6,000 / Enterprise table, and the "reach out to Support to increase" line). The TOC entry drops automatically. Rate limiting, file size, and data retention untouched.

/speech-to-text/realtime/limits — removed the Max. hours per month column and the "process each month" lead-in; reworded the lead-in to introduce concurrent-session limits only; kept Max. concurrent sessions and relabelled tiers to Free / Pro / Enterprise (was "Paid Tier"). Session limits, guidance, and data retention untouched. The "contact Support to increase" line is retained (confirmed still correct; now refers to the concurrent-session limit).

No "unlimited/no cap/no limit" wording; no statement or implication that any limit was removed, raised, or unenforced.

Optional / trivial

  • /administration/workspaces-concepts — added "credits" to the list of things that belong to the workspace.
  • /administration/projects — scanned for stray "free allowance / hours per month" phrasing; none found, no change.

Note on scope: $25 transition credit

The original brief marked the one-time $25 transition grant out of scope for these evergreen pages ("a migration message, not these evergreen pages"). Added on both pages by reviewer request. Because it applies only to Free accounts existing at the 1 August 2026 migration, it is scoped as a time-bound :::note tied to that date so it is easy to remove once the migration window passes.

Out of scope (Phase 1, untouched)

Usage page; zero-balance card-state and auto-charge toggle; packs, commitment ladder, overage, credit expiry and multi-grant burn order; auto-renew/cancellation; model-training-discount rename; purchasing credits (Phase 2). No "dunning"/non-payment wording. Credits are grant-only in Phase 1, so no page implies credits can be bought.

Review notes (resolved)

  • Monthly PAYG billing cadence: unchanged in Phase 1; restored on Billing (PAYG + Invoices) and Plans (Upgrade to Pro), framed after grant drawdown.
  • Removing a payment card: per review, the no-card billing/usage consequence is omitted entirely for Phase 1 (no statement made).
  • Realtime limits — Support line: confirmed correct; retained.
  • $25 transition credit: added to Billing and Plans by reviewer request (see scope note above).

… usage ceiling

Phase 1 of the 1 August 2026 credit-billing launch.

Change A — credit model:
- Billing: introduce credits (1 credit = $1), the $100 sign-up grant, PAYG,
and grant-first drawdown; revise billing cadence and Paid/Due/Skipped
statuses for credits; correct that removing a card downgrades to Free
  (it does not).
- Plans: reframe Free and Pro under the credit model; reframe Pro as the
tier whose Phase 1 way to pay is PAYG; revise the billing-cadence sentence.
Model training and volume discounts (incl. 500 hours/month threshold) kept.

Change B — remove monthly usage ceiling:
- Plans: delete "Pro usage is capped at 6,000 hours per month."
- Batch limits: remove the "Hourly usage limits" section.
- Realtime limits: remove the "Max. hours per month" column; keep concurrent
sessions and relabel tiers to Free/Pro/Enterprise.

Also: note credits belong to the workspace (workspaces-concepts).

Remove the admonition entirely rather than stating the no-card billing/usage
consequence, which is out of scope for Phase 1.

Note the one-time $25 transition credit for Free accounts existing at the
1 August 2026 migration to the credit model. Scoped as a time-bound note.

The 1st-of-month billing for usage beyond granted credits is unchanged in
Phase 1. Reinstate it on Billing (PAYG + Invoices) and Plans (Upgrade to Pro),
framed after grant drawdown so credits and card billing read coherently.
