「attempt to validate the parent index」が「親インデックスを有効にしようとします」と訳されていますが、（validではなく？）validateなので①「親インデックスを検証します」もしくは実際には有効にするので、②「親インデックスを検証して有効にします」とするのはどうでしょうか。ちょっと意訳しすぎなので①でしょうか。
