Summary

  • Pulled from a commit-digest run (feed: epoch-research/ai-productivity-digest) — this tip (2026-07-23): ask your coding agent to attach annotated screenshots to PRs so reviewers can see UI changes at a glance.
  • Adds a new pr-screenshots skill to dev-hooks: before opening/updating a PR whose diff touches frontend/UI files, capture before/after screenshots of the affected screens with whatever already renders the app, crop and annotate what changed, and attach them to the PR description rather than leaving them only in chat. Skips cleanly when the diff has no rendered surface.
  • Bumps dev-hooks plugin version 2.28.1 → 2.29.0 (patch-worthy addition of a new skill, treated as minor per the repo's version-bump convention for new skills).

Why this one

No existing skill in this repo covers it: repo-review is explicitly scoped away from single-PR review, and review-reminder.sh only nudges toward running a code review (correctness), not attaching visual evidence. This is a genuine, self-contained gap distinct from the generic engineering workflows (debugging/planning/TDD) already covered elsewhere.

Test plan

  • uv run pytest -q — 557 passed
  • claude plugin validate --strict . — passed
  • bash scripts/run-jscpd.sh python,bash — 0 clones
  • Reviewed diff — new skill markdown + plugin.json/README updates only, no scripts

Inspired by a commit-digest feed item (2026-07-23, geoffreylitt): ask the
coding agent to attach annotated before/after screenshots to PRs touching
UI so reviewers see the visual result without checking out the branch.
No existing skill covered this — repo-review/review-reminder are about
code correctness, not visual PR evidence.

Bumps dev-hooks 2.28.1 -> 2.29.0 (new skill).
