OpenClaw local selections from the shared-route list and state that they use
sandbox-attached providers. In docs/about/how-it-works.mdx at 216, identify Pi,
Hermes, and unmigrated OpenClaw local sandboxes as using the shared route. In
docs/reference/architecture.mdx at 33, 175, 362, and 368, place new OpenClaw
local selections on the attached-provider path. In docs/reference/commands.mdx
at 1724, 1774, 2133, and 3332, correct references to other agents’ local
selections to distinguish newly migrated OpenClaw selections. In
docs/reference/network-policies.mdx at 225–229, split the openclaw,hermes
variant so the shared-route claim applies only to Hermes and unmigrated
OpenClaw. Regenerate docs/reference/platform-support.mdx at 138 from the
corrected platform matrix.

Update the docs that still say OpenClaw local selections use the shared route. This PR adds sandbox-attached providers for new OpenClaw Ollama, standalone vLLM, and llama.cpp selections. Several pages still say those selections retain inference.local. Those pages contradict docs/inference/choose-local-inference-server.mdx Line 15 and the new OpenClaw generation tests.

Update ci/platform-matrix.json at 211 to remove newly migrated OpenClaw local

Pass agentName to the response-body API resolution.
buildProbeRequest calls getSandboxInferenceConfig with input.agentName (Line 109). For DCode and OpenClaw native local endpoints, getSandboxInferenceConfig then forces inferenceApi to openai-completions, so the request goes to /chat/completions.
The success-path check at Lines 327-334 omits agentName. Without it, the forced override does not apply, and inferenceApi falls back to input.preferredInferenceApi. Suppose a recorded preferredInferenceApi is openai-responses or anthropic-messages. Then validateInferenceResponseBody checks a chat-completions body against the wrong schema. The probe reports "invalid response body" for a working native local route.
Status, start, and readiness probes pass sb.preferredInferenceApi directly. Resolve the API once with the same arguments that build the request.

Build the expected boundary from the prepared document. Do not re-parse the raw binding URL.
prepareNativeLocalProfile normalizes the binding. The normalization removes a trailing path slash and canonicalizes the origin. This validator takes allowed_ips and binaries from that normalized document. It recomputes host, port, and rules from the raw binding.endpointUrl instead.
Consider a caller that supplies a qualified URL with a trailing slash, such as http://host.docker.internal:11435/v1/. That URL is accepted by normalizeNativeLocalBinding. The validator then expects /v1//models and /v1//chat/completions. The imported profile contains /v1/models and /v1/chat/completions. The live profile read fails with a schema error, even though the profile is correct.
The url.port || (https ? 443 : 80) fallback is also unreachable, because qualification requires an explicit port. Use the prepared endpoint as the single source of truth.

Move the deployment-verification context wiring out of the entry point to fix the growth-guardrail failure.
The growth guardrail test fails because src/lib/onboard.ts grew by 5 lines. This change adds the onboardInferenceVerificationContext construction inline in the verifyDeployment closure. The growth-guardrail job blocks merge.
Move the verifyDeployment closure body into a focused helper under src/lib/onboard/. For example, add src/lib/onboard/deployment-verification.ts and export createOnboardDeploymentVerifier({ gatewayName, agentName, getContext, getSandbox, sandboxExec, providerExistsInGateway }). Then call it here in one line. The repository guidance states: "Keep src/lib/onboard.ts as entry setup and dependency wiring."

Assert that the attachment exists before you dereference it.
TC-INF-15 does not assert attachment. If onboarding records no nativeLocalProviderAttachment, attachment!.endpointUrl throws a TypeError late in the test, after rebuild and sibling onboarding. The test then fails with an unclear error. Add expect(attachment).toBeDefined() after Line 1211, as TC-INF-16 does.

In TC-INF-15, assert that attachment is defined immediately after onboarding and
before rebuild or sibling onboarding, following the existing pattern in
TC-INF-16; retain the later endpointUrl usage only after that assertion.

Published the scoped final-verification repair in The last native E2E run passed credentialless vLLM on Docker and Podman. Authenticated llama.cpp reached a successful Python inference smoke, then failed final verification because the selected host URL was compared against the gateway attachment URL. Verification now uses the existing endpoint converter before the existing exact comparison; ownership checks remain intact. The two host-address regressions failed before the fix. All 36 route tests and 54 endpoint-conversion/terminal-verification tests pass afterward. No live assertion or budget changed. Both runtimes completed owner/fixture cleanup. Fresh CI, image qualification and native E2E are pending; approval has not been submitted. Existing nonblocking follow-ups remain deferred. @coderabbitai review |

Post-merge follow-up: #13354 adds safe, native-local restart probe diagnostics for the failure observed in the exact-merge main E2E run at |
## Outcome New Pi native-local selections use sandbox-attached providers. Existing Pi sandboxes retain their completed shared local route during resume and rebuild. Qualified private compatible endpoints use the same native route on nonstandard ports. Pending or unpublished shared routes stop before rebuild can back up or delete the sandbox. ## Reason This implements the accepted Pi slice of #12975 while preserving OpenClaw compatibility. The OpenClaw prerequisite #13293 is merged; this PR now targets main and preserves its final fixes. ### Related issues Refs #12975. Prerequisites #13293 and #13203 are merged. ## Changes - Preserve Pi provider identity through route reservation, managed startup, and rebuild. Reject another agent's attachment and defer legacy recreation until backup succeeds. - Resolve credentials through pinned Pi 0.84.1 and send the issued credential even when Pi stores a stale key. - Synchronize managed model defaults while preserving unrelated settings. Include settings in startup rollback; accept empty files and reject invalid nonempty contents without overwriting them. - Use the existing persisted-route predicate for Pi rebuild preflight. Regression cases cover missing publication time and a pending route reservation. The existing inference-selection module exports the predicate without adding another direct dependency on its implementation. - Use Pi’s existing qualified endpoint validator throughout selection, startup, route retention, and legacy-route guards. Keep other agents’ endpoint selection unchanged. - Select the Pi qualification target when its timeout contract changes. Preserve the existing timeout and live assertions. - Retain Pi qualification for authenticated local requests before and after rebuild, credential isolation, and destruction. The existing approval covers its ten added live assertions. - Seed the existing rebuild-retention fixture with canonical managed defaults so the unchanged settings hash assertion measures retention. Keep user settings and trust/session checks intact. - Clarify that Local NVIDIA NIM retains the shared route in Pi quickstart and support guidance. Broader documentation catch-up and separable enhancements remain deferred. ## Verification - The main integration passed **455 tests in 17 focused Vitest suites**, including Pi routing and retention, OpenClaw inference switching, rebuild preflight, shared verification, and timeout selection. - Strict `pi-qualification-receipt-refresh.mts` validation passed. Paired AMD64/ARM64 receipts from [run 38873268267](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38873268267), source `46762b985`, retain Pi image-input parity. - `npm run e2e:assertions:check` passed: 1,266 direct assertions across 77 live test files. No tests or live assertions were removed, and no budget was raised. - Normal signed commit and publication hooks passed, including repository checks, growth checks, compiler checks, and secret scanning. The diff contains no secrets, API keys, or credentials. Hooks deny contributor credential access; signing and Git transport remain outside that boundary. - The fixture repair passed **114 tests in 3 focused suites**, a before/after reproduction through the actual configuration generator, and the unchanged assertion census. `npm run docs` passed with no errors. - Prior candidate `e059596b1` failed rootless Podman activation after external OpenClaw rebuild at `ADMIN_REQUEST_SELECTION_FAILED` / `selection-state-read` ([job 117063831360](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38925489727/job/117063831360)). All registered cleanup passed. The suite, approval helpers, canonical state reader, and workflow are byte-identical to passing Podman run 38889770458 and the recorded main base. The exact state-read subtype was not retained; no deterministic Pi-owned cause was identified. The final commit still needs a successful Podman result; no waiver is claimed. - Results for the new repair commit are pending. Prior candidate `e059596b1` passed full CI and CodeRabbit review. All nine Advisor reviews were collected; the valid Local NIM wording finding is repaired here. - Manual Pi run [38925630404](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38925630404) stopped at the image prerequisite before workload execution. It supplies no live qualification evidence. The next run must wait for successful managed-image validation of the new commit. ## Review notes The current commit still requires CI, automated review, and the authorized manual Pi E2E qualification before approval. The #13293 prerequisite is merged and the workflow's main-base requirement is satisfied. The [existing authenticated assertion approval](#13007 (comment)) covers the unchanged ten Pi live assertions and exact change digest. No additional assertions or budget increase were introduced by this integration. Local growth and publication checks now use canonical `origin/main`; independent enforcement remains required. Source review covered the final Pi diff against main, including runtime credential resolution, inference routing, onboarding, state retention, E2E credential and cleanup boundaries, and the runtime bundle. The merge retains the provider-neutral Python smoke probe alongside Pi Node access and combines the parent route-verification matrix with Pi legacy-route coverage. The general code review found the settings-fixture mismatch repaired here and no additional product-code defect. Independent review of the repair commit remains pending. The previous candidate `260df64e1` passed CI, managed-image validation, portable-profile E2E, Podman CPU, security, and CodeRabbit review. All nine Advisor reviews were collected; eight were clear and the documentation specialist reported the deferred broader-guidance update below. That previous Advisor aggregate failed; no waiver or approval is claimed. Broader documentation catch-up remains deferred to `Docs / Author Post-Merge Catch-Up`, as requested and permitted by root `AGENTS.md`: `docs/about/how-it-works.mdx:217`, `docs/reference/architecture.mdx:362`, `docs/reference/platform-support.mdx:138`, `docs/reference/enterprise-readiness.mdx:85,135`, and `docs/reference/commands.mdx:1732,1784`. Owning Pi guidance remains in this PR. Separable enhancements and cleanup are also deferred. --- Signed-off-by: Prekshi Vyas <prekshiv@nvidia.com> <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * New Pi local selections for Ollama, standalone vLLM, llama.cpp, and qualified compatible endpoints can use sandbox-attached providers. * Pi setups now keep issued credentials outside the agent configuration, and managed settings update the selected model while preserving unrelated preferences. * **Bug Fixes** * Existing Pi sandboxes with unchanged shared local routes can resume and rebuild without being redirected or blocked. ## Outcome Hermes native-local startup, model switching and rebuild use supervisor-issued credential references in all three managed credential slots. Rebuild rebinds restored references through the existing guarded writer while preserving route, user and MCP settings, including strings interpreted differently by YAML 1.1 and 1.2. This PR contains the Hermes slice on canonical main and preserves published history. ## Reason The identityless credential alias cannot express provider ownership. Restoring an archive also replaces fresh configuration with older credential references and integrity anchors, so the ordinary strict writer correctly refuses the required rebind. ### Related issues Refs #12921 and #12558; implements the [accepted Hermes slice](#12921 (comment)). Uses the native-local foundation merged in #13203. Parent PR branches remain unchanged; the separate OpenClaw slice merged in #13293 and is preserved by this merge. ## Changes - Extend the existing native-local configuration and provider owners to Hermes, checking sandbox, gateway, provider and attachment identities. Preserve canonical DCode behavior and the Local NIM exclusion. - Refresh bounded opaque references in all three managed slots at startup, initial activation, model switching and rebuild. Retain schema validation, exact read digests, compensation, backup retention and readiness checks. - Add an explicit restore mode to the existing configuration transaction. Only the three credential leaves may differ; validated restored inputs become the rollback baseline under the existing lock. Persisted recovery checks source digests and inodes before completing interrupted anchor adoption. Ordinary writes retain strict drift checks, with the authenticated startup transition described below. The real guard regression covers successful adoption, refusals, rollback and interrupted recovery; host transport tests verify the flag and sanitized payload. - Serialize Hermes configuration with YAML 1.1 compatibility. Archive sanitization can produce JSON containing tool_search.enabled as the string "on"; the previous writer emitted bare on, which Python interpreted as true and correctly rejected as an unrelated change. Preserve the value while retaining the strict three-credential-only guard. - Carry the validated sandbox agent into the existing switch-verification probe so local requests use their recorded endpoint. Report the selected Hermes native-local route from its recorded attachment. Match the attachment's agent identity to the sandbox while retaining sandbox, gateway, provider, credential and publication checks; avoid consulting a stale shared route. - Reconcile the actual non-root startup sequence before an ordinary root config write. A bounded, untrusted preimage must match the existing root-owned strict digest and replay the same three credential replacements to exactly the current bytes. This is needed because non-root startup can update only the compatibility hash. Preserve mutable startup behavior, reject unrelated drift, and retain race, rollback and cleanup checks. The startup regression exercises the real guard with the production compat mode. - Reconcile main's custom-hosted routing and cleanup ordering with Hermes local routing. Existing routing and rollback tests protect both paths. - Extend existing Hermes live scenarios for authenticated requests and sibling denial. Retain meaningful cleanup checks and documented lower-level coverage. The current assertion allocation is three unique points below main, with no per-file increase. - Preserve the first public destroy failure in double-onboard while attempting every remaining destroy and raw fallback. Reconcile the registry after fallback deletion, then retain sandbox, registry and listener checks and fail on any original destroy error. Registered teardown uses the same raw-deletion-before-registry-reconciliation recovery order. Separate artifacts retain the original failure and later cleanup results. - Preserve the typed offline native-home cleanup failure code in both thrown and returned live-transport failure paths. Keep the original error and existing refusal behavior; do not change provider ownership, image acquisition, deletion authority or registry retention. - Use the common Docker/Podman `--volume source:target:nocopy` syntax for stopped-state cleanup. Podman 6.1 rejects the previous Docker-only `--mount ... volume-nocopy` option before creating the cleanup helper. Retain resource identity checks, restricted helper execution, protected paths and original destroy-failure reporting. - Document the backup and fresh-recreation requirement for legacy Hermes local routes that cannot resume or rebuild. ## Verification Candidate: `b2c717ee0aabe3c61c06bd1d3305dcb71b28f870`. Published history is preserved. **All seven scoped E2E cases, core CI, the nine-specialist Advisor review and exact-candidate image activation pass on this commit.** - [Full seven-case qualification](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38980150868): passed on the first workflow attempt. OpenClaw double-onboard on Docker/Podman, Hermes double-onboard on Docker, and Hermes native NVIDIA/Anthropic-compatible switching on Docker/Podman all passed. The authenticated dispatch receipt binds this candidate, base `f1dcab784d273a56f1adc6292c7336b81fb41767`, trusted workflow `4ce30c292c0a518ee713f2d10460d473bb904637`, and the selectors. - [Podman double-onboard](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38980150868/job/117240028538): the first public destroy of stopped sibling B now exits successfully and removes its managed state volume. Both original destroys pass, the final sandbox/registry/listener checks pass, and all nine registered cleanup callbacks pass. The original-error failure guard remains intact. No live assertion or budget was changed by the mount repair. - All seven case artifacts were authenticated by run identity, size and digest. The four Hermes switching cases verify native-local startup and model switching, authenticated baseline requests, expected post-switch responses, credential-reference shape, strict/compatibility integrity checks, root-owned unwritable anchors, preserved environment hashes and successful cleanup. The workflow's Podman host restoration steps passed. - E2E ran exact candidate CLI/tests with verified immutable ancestor `26c994164121069b16da818b7319485d5da1c242` image contracts from [successful Images run 38975293705](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38975293705). The repair changes only a host cleanup owner and two unit tests; reviewed image COPY inputs and the managed runtime bundle are unchanged. The separate [exact-candidate Images run](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38979898389) also passed, including AMD64, ARM64 and rootless Podman managed runtime activation and cleanup. - [Core CI](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38979898392) passed, including all 12 CLI test shards and static checks. The actual pinned Podman 6.1 parser rejects the old argument with `volume-nocopy: invalid mount option` and accepts the replacement with the same source, destination and `nocopy` option. Two mount regressions fail before the repair; all 80 focused tests pass afterward. Normal signed-commit and pre-push checks passed, and GitHub verified the signature. - Both committed Pi qualification receipts match their authenticated AMD64/ARM64 archives. The persisted-route fixture includes `createdAt` and restores the Pi target. The current image builds also produced authenticated Pi contracts for both architectures. Separate Pi #13364 live qualification is not claimed. ## Review notes [CodeRabbit reviewed this commit](#13292 (comment)) and reported no actionable findings. Its automatic docstring-coverage warning remains advisory. All nine [current Advisor specialists](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38981808232) reported clear, with no findings or unresolved recommendations; the workflow and blocker gate passed. Their required `double-onboard` selector is covered by the seven-case qualification above. This evidence covers the accepted Hermes/Rebecca follow-up; the broader path-derived review-queue qualification floor is not claimed as fully executed. No human approval or waiver is claimed. All nine [preceding Advisor reports](https://github.com/NVIDIA/NemoClaw/actions/runs/38977281162) were collected: seven clear and two findings about the initial public destroy failure. The mount repair and passing current Podman case address that failure without suppressing the original error after fallback cleanup. [Rebecca’s latest review](#13292 (review)) requested the Podman cleanup fix and a passing latest-commit selector. Both now have the evidence above. The requested legacy Hermes recovery documentation explains the resume/rebuild refusal, backup and fresh-recreation path, and retained Local NVIDIA NIM exception. The requested automated checks have now passed. Rebecca’s existing changes-requested review remains in place pending her independent assessment. Defer the advisory composed Hermes rebuild test, blanket Ollama documentation catch-up, inherited custom-hosted credential-alias rebuild defect, pinned OpenShell start/watch race and speculative hardening. …der (#13447) ## Outcome For OpenClaw sandboxes that use a native local provider (Ollama, vLLM or llama.cpp), `status`, `connect` and `start` now send their inference health request to the provider recorded for the sandbox. Before this change they sent it to the shared `inference.local` route, which native-local onboarding does not configure. OpenShell 0.0.116 answers that route with HTTP 503 ("cluster inference is not configured"). `status` still displayed the native endpoint. The GPU Ollama and GPU double-onboard E2Es now use the per-sandbox provider too. ## Reason Native-local onboarding attaches a provider to each sandbox and leaves the shared route empty (#13293). The probe request builder used the native endpoint only when the caller passed an agent that uses native local inference. Some callers did not pass one: - `status` passed the agent only for Deep Agents Code. - `connect` and `start` readiness represent OpenClaw as a null agent. Without an agent, the builder used `https://inference.local/v1/chat/completions`. `doctor` passes the agent, so it passed while `status` and `connect` failed. This matches run 39196254769 on `762aef4c82`: - The authenticated native OpenClaw test failed at `start` after a successful rebuild. - Both managed vLLM cases passed `doctor` and failed `connect --probe-only`. The GPU tests separately hardcoded `inference.local` or expected a shared Ollama route. The 503 response bodies were not retained. The 503 mechanism comes from the pinned OpenShell source (`crates/openshell-supervisor-network/src/proxy.rs`, v0.0.116). The wrong destination is reproduced by the unit tests below. This PR does not claim to explain every historical 503 in #13338. ### Related issues Refs #13338 ## Changes - `src/lib/actions/sandbox/inference-invocation-probe.ts`: when the sandbox has a native local attachment, the probe sends its request to the attachment's recorded endpoint, whichever agent the caller passes. - `src/lib/actions/sandbox/inference-route-health.ts`: native local status reports the endpoint that the failed request used. - GPU E2E: `gpu-e2e` checks the recorded native Ollama endpoint. Both GPU tests send their chat requests there with the OpenShell-issued credential handle (`test/e2e/fixtures/native-local-chat.ts`). - `tools/e2e/target-catalogue.mts`: - Changes to the chat fixture select both GPU targets. - Changes to the probe builder or route health select `inference-routing-openclaw-native`. - Tests: `test/helpers/native-local-probe-shell.ts` runs the generated probe command in a real shell with a recording `curl`. New cases check: - the destination URL and `Authorization` header for vLLM, llama.cpp and Ollama, with the agent omitted, null or `openclaw`; - the legacy null OpenClaw paths through `status` and readiness health; - the endpoint reported on failure; - rejection of a raw credential; - selections without a native attachment still using the shared route. - `ci/platform-matrix.json` and `docs/reference/platform-support.mdx`: new OpenClaw local selections are now described as using sandbox-attached providers. ## Verification - Regression: on the unfixed probe code, the new cases fail (11 failed, 8 passed). With the fix, all 19 pass, and all 182 tests in the three suites pass. - `npm run test:changed` (2525 tests) has 7 failures: - 6 in `native-podman-setup-action.test.ts`, which also fail on unmodified `762aef4c82` in this environment. - 1 in `portable-openclaw-pairing-settlement`, which passes when run alone. - Workflow plan tests: 142 passed. - `tsc -p tsconfig.cli.json --noEmit`, oxlint and oxfmt: passed. Commit and pre-push hooks passed. - `e2e-mock-parity` and `test:e2e-phases:check`: passed. - Live E2E on the final commit: results will be posted on this PR. - The diff contains no secrets, API keys or credentials. ## Review notes - An earlier revision of this PR also derived the agent and passed it from `status`, `connect` and readiness health. It was replaced by the smaller endpoint selection above. - #13354 retries native-local 503s during restart. The cause it describes (a reference-path 503 while `doctor` succeeds) matches the endpoint selection fixed here. A retry does not change the destination. --- Signed-off-by: San Dang <sdang@nvidia.com> <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * New OpenClaw selections of Ollama, standalone vLLM, and llama.cpp use their sandbox-attached provider for inference health checks and requests. * Health-check failures now report the endpoint that was actually contacted. * **Compatibility** * Earlier OpenClaw sandboxes without an attached provider, Pi, Local NVIDIA NIM, and other custom or local selections continue to use the shared inference route. * Requests using raw local credentials are not sent. * **Documentation** * Updated provider-routing guidance and platform support details. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Signed-off-by: San Dang <sdang@nvidia.com>

Post-merge native OpenClaw verification for #13293:
|
Outcome
New OpenClaw sandboxes attach Ollama, standalone vLLM, and llama.cpp to a sandbox-owned OpenShell provider. Existing shared-route sandboxes retain supported live model switches. Unsafe local selection, resume, or rebuild stops before route mutation with backup and fresh recreation guidance.
Scope
This is the accepted OpenClaw slice of #12975. Local NVIDIA NIM retains its shared route; user-supplied compatible endpoints retain the behavior already on main. Deep Agents Code behavior comes from merged #13203; Pi and Hermes routing are unchanged by this diff. Refs #12975.
Changes
inference set.inference-routing-openclaw-nativelive target for authenticated llama.cpp and credentialless vLLM OpenClaw consumer cases. The authenticated case covers rebuild, restart, a liveinference setmodel switch, unchanged shared route, sibling denial, and credential isolation. Its source owners select this target for later native-local implementation changes. Reuse the existing OpenClaw switching test owner, with separate selectors and time budgets. Remove deterministic metadata duplicates and a redundant direct mock request while preserving live gateway, lifecycle and security evidence.Verification
Current candidate
b4bb31e7af82922af0936f45ad5b6f12e67e0f91passes OpenClaw's agent identity to the start-time inference probe so it uses the recorded native endpoint. Failed replacement cleanup now preserves its error while attempting to restore the prior local attachment; if restoration also fails, the error names both retained providers. All 84 focused start/native-switch tests pass. Four new cases failed against the previous code: two wrong-endpoint cases, missing prior attachment after cleanup failure, and skipped restoration diagnostics. Commit hooks and growth guardrails pass. No live assertions, timeouts or budgets changed.Previous candidate
7f11569215a5f4b1bd238387eef99f4f5dc44f28verifies the recorded native-local attachment immediately before rebuild deletion instead of looking for a shared provider under the logical provider name. It preserves runtime/gateway identity and refuses deletion if authority changed during backup. All 73 focused provider and rebuild-flow tests pass, including successful native OpenClaw rebuild without a shared provider and refusal after detachment. Both new integrated cases failed against the old pipeline. Commit hooks and growth budgets pass; no live assertions changed.Previous candidate
1caff05f7da8e4b837ad3b0b996b9c560c7a44c7reuses the existing host-to-gateway endpoint conversion during final native route verification. This fixes authenticated llama.cpp onboarding without changing attachment ownership checks or live assertions. The two host-address regressions failed before the repair; all 36 route tests and 54 endpoint-conversion/terminal-verification tests passed afterward.Previous candidate
2bfd92e74c25ae6beee612f435e74a7dfe938ca3permits the existing Python onboarding smoke client in the OpenClaw native-local profile. Its credentialless vLLM fixture accepts unauthenticated host preflight while still rejecting wrong supplied tokens and requiring the exact sentinel on the real agent request.Previous repair: 61 native-local tests, seven HTTP fixture tests and seven growth-guardrail tests passed. Assertion census remains 1,256 direct expectations across 77 test files. CLI typecheck, lint, secret scanning, semantic phase checks and isolated publication validation passed. No live assertion was weakened or removed in this repair.

9c4be6cde888f6c2a4186516199d8d6b36980dc3repaired native preflight with shared peers and switches between local providers using sandbox-owned attachments. Failed attachment or registry publication removes the new provider and restores prior access; owned NIM retains its shared route.Previous repair: 97 focused switch/rollback/credential tests passed, followed by 54 after import consolidation; final native switch suite passed 9 cases. Native preflight/NIM startup tests passed 27 cases; E2E target selection passed 139. Counts overlap. Commit hooks passed; dependency budget decreased from 31 to 30 imports for the switch entrypoint.
Earlier local validation: 240 focused CLI/E2E-support tests passed; 127 switching/configuration tests passed; final rollback changes passed 90 focused tests. Growth guardrails (7 tests), mock/live parity, semantic phase coverage, assertion census, type checking, lint and secret scanning passed. Counts overlap across focused runs.
Suite budget is below main: 16 fewer direct and unique
expectcalls and 10 fewer direct and unique assertion points; no additional live test files. Existing helpers increase only the consolidated file's transitive allocation. Exact authorization: feat(inference): attach OpenClaw local providers #13293 (comment). Candidate policy binds that transition; independent enforcement still checks the maintainer record.Current-candidate CI, managed-image activation, automated review and native-local E2E are pending. On
7f115692, full CI, the entire managed-image workflow (both architectures and rootless Podman activation), and rootless CPU qualification passed. CodeRabbit reviewed the five-file rebuild repair with no actionable findings. All nine Advisor specialists completed; its gate reported three findings. The start and rollback findings are repaired above. The explanatory routing statements indocs/reference/platform-support.mdx:138anddocs/inference/choose-local-inference-server.mdx:132are deferred to documentation follow-up under the requested scope policy; current routing guidance already describes native OpenClaw selections. The Advisor aggregate was not green. Native E2E was not dispatched on that commit because the start defect was reproduced before a live run. On1caff05f, full CI, all managed-image activation jobs and rootless CPU passed. All nine Advisor code ledgers were clear; its aggregate remained red for an unresolved native-target recommendation. CodeRabbit withdrew its duplicate-assertion suggestion. Native run 38908173132 passed credentialless vLLM and authenticated llama.cpp onboarding on both Docker and Podman, then stopped before rebuild deletion because it looked for the nonexistent shared provider. The current repair addresses that check. All four sandbox/fixture cleanups passed; recreation, restore, restart, model-switch and isolation checks remain unproven by that run. On2bfd92e7, full CI and managed-image activation passed, CodeRabbit reported no actionable comments, and all nine Advisor code ledgers were clear; its aggregate remained red for unresolved native coverage. Native run 38900071371 passed credentialless vLLM on Docker and Podman but failed authenticated llama.cpp final verification after its Python smoke succeeded. The host/gateway endpoint mismatch is repaired above. All four owner/fixture cleanups passed; later llama.cpp lifecycle/isolation checks were unreached. On9c4be6c, native E2E run 38883902736 exposed the two onboarding blockers repaired above; later lifecycle/isolation assertions were not reached. Broader run 38883974902, attempt 2, passed both protected image architectures, GPU/local-inference qualification and its cleanup, but failed existing-path scenarios. That broad set is not green and is historical evidence for the current candidate. All nine prior Advisor code ledgers were clear; its aggregate remained red for unresolved native-local live coverage.Review notes
Source tests own deterministic receipt/configuration fields. Live tests retain actual OpenClaw requests, selected models, authenticated and sentinel credential consumption, lifecycle, unchanged shared-route state, credential scans and owner/sibling isolation. NIM and unrelated provider/agent behavior remain outside this slice.
Deferred: minor rebuild wording clarification for owned NIM, redundant low-level NIM configuration plumbing (production callers already disable native selection), inherited DCode response-API/profile-normalization diagnostics and additional defensive handler validation beyond the existing receipt-confirming setup path. Sensitive inference, onboarding and configuration paths still require final independent automated-review disposition and exact-candidate live evidence.
Broader-run follow-ups: DCode baseline HTTP 503 and its credentialless loopback-fixture mismatch also fail on exact base
bdf2172in 38866880024. Podman hosted-switch fixtures use an unsupported custom Dockerfile or a rejected link-local address. Other existing-path failures (Entra request, Podman cleanup permissions and Anthropic-custom SQLite backup) are recorded without claiming their root causes are established. The existing OpenClaw rebuild case passed. These do not authorize expanding this local-provider slice.Signed-off-by: Rebecca Sliter 571084+rsliter@users.noreply.github.com
