In the identification validation, add optional validation for any ABC impl (e.g. metric/spatial parameterisation)

Each appropriate ABC can have a validate() func which checks its configuration, for example the sbvf metric might want to check that its virtual fields aren't too coarse in any direction. Currently such a check happens within vfmesh.py but it might worth considering pulling this out in to identification validation
