Use this pull request template to briefly answer the questions below in one to two sentences each.

1. Issue
Link to the associated GitHub issue:
#96
Full path to the refactored file:
opencode/packages/app/src/addons/serialize.ts
What do you think this file does?
(Your answer does not have to be 100% correct; give a reasonable, evidence‑based guess.)
lines 4-6 comments, it serializes the terminal of the web into a string. basically it captures what's displayed into a single text string
What is the scope of your refactoring within that file?
(Name specific functions/blocks/regions touched.)
isBuffer()
Which Qlty‑reported issue did you address?
(Name the rule/metric and include the BEFORE value; e.g., “Cognitive Complexity 18 in render()”.)
69 Function with many returns (count = 9): isBuffer
2. Refactoring
How did the specific issue you chose impact the codebase’s maintainability?
The code had multiple if statements that all pointed to false, so when someone wants to delete or add another statement that should be false they'd have to make another if statement.
each if statement made us think that each is supposed to give a different return but it doesn't.
What changes did you make to resolve the issue?
I turned the multiple if statements into multiple continuous ors in so that it doesn't keep return false after every if statement but returns if any of the if statements are true.
How do your changes improve maintainability? Did you consider alternatives?
if there is other issues I can simply add another or instead of making it return false after the if statement
It groups all the false instances
3. Validation
How did you validate that the change is correct?
I ran a Bun coverage test and made sure it came with the same coverage
and checked that Qlty smell is gone
and That the CI has the checkmarks
Attach a screenshot of the test coverage showing the lines were executed by the tests.

Attach a screenshot showing the tests that cover the change passing during CI

Attach a screenshot of

qlty smells --no-snippets <full/path/to/file.ts>showing fewer reported issues after the changes.
