Summary

A reader who had never seen the scanner could not tell what to do with the page. It is now three numbered parts in the order a reader needs them, and every number stays the scanner's or the evaluator's.

1. Buy signals now. One instruction on how to act (buy at the next open only at or below the "buy up to" price; sell on a close at or below the stop loss; sell at take profit; a signal leaves when the scanner drops it), then a table: stock, pattern, buy up to (with the last close), stop loss (with the distance), take profit (with the gain), status (new today, day N of the limit, late with the 0.1 R note). Empty state: "No buy signal today. Nothing to do."

2. Why these stocks. Per signal: the pattern explained in plain words, the specific anchors and breakout age, the candlestick chart with the buy zone, stop, target and pivots, the context chips (market trend, moving averages, breakout volume, fear and greed) and the eleven-year figure for the pattern. Then "Watching, not a signal yet" (the close each needs, its distance, and the stop and target it would have), their charts folded, and what left the page since the previous scan, in words.

3. Past signals: were we right? A tally ("7 signals since 2026-09-02: 0 took profit, 3 stopped out, 3 still open, 1 pending; average result on the closed ones −4.3 %") and a table with bought at, stop loss, take profit, the result in price terms ("Stopped out at 212.24 on 2026-09-08", "Still open: last close 34.51 on 2026-09-16", "Took profit at …", "Not bought: it opened above the buy limit", "Pending") and the gain or loss in percent. The honesty note keeps the replay figures for scale; the R-based table with its filters and the running total is folded under "In units of risk (R), for the curious". The glossary and reference tables are folded under "How to read this page".

Gone: the metric cards, the setup cards, the closed table, the F&G-style jargon in labels. The view model gains results (rows with label, text, pnl_pct) alongside track.

Checked in the browser with today's live data (2026-09-17 scan: MO new, four watched, seven past signals) at desktop width.

Test plan

  • ruff clean, 154 tests pass locally (test_build_site.py rewritten for the new page: status words, results in words and the tally, section order, escaping, charts, the empty scan)
  • built from today's live data and reviewed
  • tests workflow on this PR

1. Buy signals now: a table of buy limit, stop loss and take profit with one
instruction on how to act and a status per row (new today, day N of the
limit, late). 2. Why these stocks: the pattern in plain words, the chart,
the context chips, the eleven-year figure, then the stocks being watched
(with the close they need) and what left the page. 3. Past signals, were
we right?: every committed signal with its result in price terms (took
profit at, stopped out at, still open at, not bought, pending) and the
gain or loss in percent, a tally, and the R-based track record folded
away. Glossary and reference tables folded. Tests, wiki 01, README,
changelog.
