Move the canonical skill into skills/database-dependency-migration and commit an allowlisted payload that reduces installation bytes by 86.4%. Keep optional toolkit resources and licenses, share the payload with the .skill archive, and check synchronization and real installs in CI. Update installation instructions, packaging regression coverage, and contribution guidance for the repository owners' review exemption. Validation: 150 offline tests pass, two live tests skip without a DSN, check:skill passes, and prior real Skills CLI and artifact smokes pass.
Use the canonical skill path when verifying snapshots of the committed HEAD. This removes the obsolete repository-root assumption exposed by CI after moving the skill entry point. The reproduced failure now passes, along with all 150 offline tests and the distribution check.

The Skills CLI previously copied the repository root, including the website, evaluations, and development files. Installing the same skill now copies only the dedicated
skills/database-dependency-migration/directory: 82 files and 2.04 MB, an 86.4% reduction in uncompressed installation bytes. The distribution keeps the source-review instructions, references, templates, optional toolkit, examples, and licenses. An explicit source allowlist drives synchronization, stale-file checks, and
.skillpackaging. Installation docs and clipboard commands use the new layout, and CI verifies the distribution and a real Skills CLI 1.7.2 installation. npm continues to publish the standalone toolkit.Contributor guidance now documents the repository owners' review exemption. Required CI checks and resolved review conversations remain mandatory.
Validation: 150 offline tests passed; two live-database tests skipped locally without a DSN. Distribution checks passed. Earlier validation covered all 18 reproducible example artifacts, the production website build, two targeted clipboard tests, real Skills CLI installation, and fresh npm/
.skillinstalls with three validated demos each. The committed validation report records the details. Remote push and pull-request CI both passed: all five PostgreSQL catalog jobs and the offline suite, including browser checks at both URL prefixes, artifact smoke tests, and the real Skills CLI install. The snapshot test now follows the canonical relocated skill path.
