/clear now retires the current session, clears the transcript, and starts fresh context without restarting the TUI.

Why

The dev TUI already exposes this behavior as /new, but /clear was treated as normal user input. In a repro against an unreachable server, submitting /clear left the existing error transcript in place and attempted another turn.

Approach

Because prompt command aliases share the canonical command's dispatch path, adding clear to the existing new command should preserve its session reset guarantees without duplicating lifecycle logic. Parser, runner, and TUI smoke coverage verify that /clear invokes the same reset, creates a fresh client session, and clears the transcript.

The command registry remains the source for parsing, typeahead, and help output. The docs and patch changeset describe the alias.

The full pnpm --filter eve run test:tui suite reached the unrelated model-backed subagent smoke test, then failed because this sandbox has no AI Gateway credentials. The changed slash-command smoke test passes independently.
