Why

Board and module records only existed inside the app (/?board=…), which Google treats as the homepage. Searches like "ESP32-S3 DevKitC pinout" had no page on this site to land on.

What changes

  • One static page per record at /pinout/<model-name>/ (2,703 boards + 575 modules). Each page has a keyword title (<Model> Pinout & GPIO Reference), meta description, H1, spec table (manufacturer, chip, family, revision, aliases/SKUs, pin labels), pinout images with descriptive alt text plus source and rights captions, datasheet links, wiring cautions, related boards in the same family, and an "Open the interactive pinout" link into the app.
  • Structured data: TechArticle (with images, keywords, publisher) and BreadcrumbList JSON-LD, plus visible breadcrumbs.
  • Thin pages stay out of the index: 983 records with no reference files or datasheet are generated as noindex, follow, so they are reachable but kept out of search results.
  • Sitemap: grows from 66 to 2,361 URLs, adds <lastmod>, and becomes an image sitemap with 3,692 pinout images for Google Images.
  • Directory tables now link to the static pinout pages, and family pages are titled "… pinouts & references".
  • og:image per page uses the pinout thumbnail. Indexed pages send max-image-preview:large.
  • check-web-release.mjs allowlists the new pinout/ folder. The release is 11,764 files, under the 20,000-file Cloudflare Pages limit.

Checked locally

  • pnpm build:web plus check-web-release.mjs pass. pnpm test passes (71 tests).
  • All 3,278 pages: unique titles, valid JSON-LD, canonical URLs set.
