I build things. Mostly systems that take something messy and make it feel obvious.

stuff I'm into

  • architecture — turning vague ideas into robust structures
  • tools that people actually keep using
  • keeping it simple on the surface, even when it isn't underneath
  • doing it right without cutting the corners (privacy, values, etc)

currently thinking about

  • ways to incorporate LLMs without the insane costs and making them actually useful
  • solutions that help humans express their thoughts easier (creativity software)
