When the operator opens the SLAM tab, Emu immediately sends a start request to Shepard over the existing WebSocket connection. Shepard

begins streaming its 3D point cloud and drone pose in real time. Emu renders the incoming data as a live, interactive 3D visualization —
dots accumulate as the drone explores new space, building up a map of the environment. When the operator navigates away from the tab, Emu
sends a stop request so Shepard can halt transmission and free up bandwidth and compute.
