Pre-Show-HN cleanup, all verified by running from a fresh clone:

  • README: quickstart whose three commands were run verbatim against the committed fixture (output: Verified 3 files: 3 valid, 0 invalid), an honest status table matching the site's done/WIP dots (author node and discovery index are stubs), repo layout, and your-own-Takeout instructions.
  • fixtures/sample-takeout.json: synthetic 4-entry export exercising text, rating-only, sub-rating questions, selected_option info, and the Comment skip path. No personal data.
  • Tests: both suites previously hardcoded /Users/tylermartin/Downloads/Takeout/..., so pnpm -r test failed on every machine but yours. They now read the fixture by relative path; full suite passes from a fresh clone (8/8 parser, plus schema and crypto).

- README with verified quickstart (keygen/import/verify against the
committed fixture), honest status table matching x4me2.com, layout map
- fixtures/sample-takeout.json: 4-entry synthetic export covering text,
  rating-only, sub-rating questions, selected_option, and the Comment
  skip path
- Tests read the fixture via relative path; the previous suite hardcoded
an absolute path to a personal Takeout export and failed on any other
machine. pnpm -r test now passes from a fresh clone (8/8 parser, plus
  schema and crypto)

Ed25519/did:web/JWT-VC jargon led the prose; plain language now leads and
the standards names sit in asides for readers who want them.

…ny removed

Two rounds of Tyler feedback folded in: process verbs and crypto smell
kill consumer trust, and safety-first framing sells insurance to people
who came for a paycheck. Money first, zero-effort second, proof as a
passive property in asides.

…lord places data

No API exists for your own contributions; Places API is metered, capped at
five reviews per place, no-caching license. Concentration angle anchored to
Yelp's 2024 antitrust suit rather than unsourced claims.
