Issue:
Error message:
Model Load Failed
exited with code 3221225781 (0xC0000135: required DLL not found).

Windows could not start sd-vulkan.exe because the Vulkan runtime/driver DLL, such as vulkan-1.dll is missing or not loadable. Install or update the GPU vendor driver with Vulkan support, then run setup again so the Vulkan backend folder is repaired.

If you are using an AMD/Intel GPU, update the AMD/Intel graphics driver first. If the GPU is too old for the current Vulkan backend, switch the backend to CPU.

Steps:

1. Ran the reset powershell script from the scripts directory
2. Re-ran the windows.bat file which threw up more errors than I care to read.
3. Deleted the whole root folder except the apps/models folder and re-downloaded it and extracted it.
4. Re-ran the windows.bat and went through the setup again
5. Put the models folder back (to save having to download it all again)
6. Ran the windows.bat file and got the same error and console output as above.

Thanks for the detailed logs. I pushed a fix to main for the CPU/Vulkan startup problem.

Please pull the latest code, run the reset script, rerun setup, and test loading the model again in CPU mode:

The app now installs a separate Windows CPU backend under app/backend/win/cpu and CPU mode no longer depends on launching sd-vulkan.exe, so missing vulkan-1.dll should not block CPU loading anymore.

If it still fails, please share the new console output after the fresh reset/setup run.

Hi,
Re downloaded and extracted the zip.
Re-ran the Windows.bat and completed successfully - no errors.
Ran the web UI and loaded model successfully.

I've tried this on a linux machine (directly inside a virtual machine, not sure if this is the cause here)
I've downloaded the zip file from the repository and extracted it.
Downloaded the same model but when I try to load it, I get an error message 'Model Load Failed - exited with code 1'

Ran the reset.sh script then re-ran the linux.sh file - same problem

Looking at the console output, GLIBC wasn't installed during the installation.
Installed manually but still won't run.
