Summary

  • limit /technical-changelog to Sourcegraph 5.7.0 and earlier
  • direct newer release readers to the current Sourcegraph changelog
  • exclude the archived technical changelog from the Algolia search index

Verification

  • pnpm exec contentlayer2 build
  • node dev/algolia-index.mjs --dry-run --stats
  • verified /technical-changelog produces 0 indexed pages and 0 records
  • rendered and inspected /technical-changelog locally

The only pain point I see is that existing links to removed sections will land at the top of the page, leaving readers to find the intended release in the new changelog. Amp checked our current docs and found no internal links to the removed sections, so no updates are needed there. All good.
