I'm a backend-focused full-stack engineer at Defendify, working mostly in Go, Node, and Postgres on distributed, event-driven services.
I was building systems long before I wrote code, and I still approach software the way I approached taking things apart as a kid: understand it first, build it to hold up, keep it readable.
Outside work I'm a glider pilot, serve as board member and webmaster for the Franconia Soaring Foundation, and live on a small farm in Maine with my wife, greyhounds, cats, and horses. Usually tinkering with something.
