Editor: reopen a file at the last cursor position

Remembering last cursor position of previously edited and saved file after reopening for editing. (Setting example: toggle button to preserve the last editing position.) If I quit Markpad and open same file again, then I am positioned at start of file (with longer texts, this can be very annoying).

I prototyped this. Doing it properly means a new per-file storage layer and changes across the whole open/close/restore path, and the prototype wasn't reliable enough to ship. Not something we can take on right now, so leaving this open for later.

Also a kind of reopening case: If I open for example 10 files, edit them, save them, and close application, then next time, when I open application, I have to open all 10 files again. With many files, this is quite annoying. (Maybe setting option could be added so that it is not necessary to reopen previously opened files.)

you can use window tag and tag group to do it。From menu to creat window tag group，and pin the tag，you will get a pinned group，like chrome
