Systems engineer — C++ · Rust · Python. 13+ years. Embedded Linux devices (Ubuntu Core — Raspberry Pi and x86), Qt, scientific software. Tbilisi-based.
Since 2015 I own the device layer of Screenly's digital-signage players — a commercial Raspberry Pi fleet: the C++/Rust/Qt player, GStreamer video pipelines, Qt WebEngine, Ubuntu Core packaging, watchdogs, device provenance. My background also includes developing and optimizing scientific software — electron-microscopy software for FEI (now Thermo Fisher) among it — and KDE desktop applications.
Apps I built: KLook — a Quick-Look-style file previewer (primary author, hosted in KDE) — and TimeFrame, the social timeline in ROSA's SimpleWelcome launcher.
I also maintain Screenly's CLI (Rust).
Upstream fixes where my work needed them: Qt · GStreamer · snapd · snapcraft · KDE
