The Lua functions supported by Suricata changed from Suricata 7 to 8. That change broke the way the "Dump buffers'
option works since it leverages some Lua scripts to generate the data.
This updates the Lua scripts to work with Suricata 8, but also maintains support for Suricata 7 (and possibly earlier) by adding an abstraction layer, along with needed conditional checks.
