Tested via cargo semver-checks check-release. 0.4.2 wasn't released on crates.io so I am reusing this version.

Can be published as a separate branch or merged into master, if so I can follow up with a change restoring PR.

Huh, CI doesn't check the async crate 🙈

Let me try to fix things. I think it's best to do a non-breaking release of the blocking crate too
