Positions 6/19/32/45/58 are the 5-way joystick and 52 is the encoder press, per eyelash_sofle-layouts.dtsi; CLAUDE.md called col 6 the encoder click. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
keymap-drawer writes a modified key as "Ctl+$$mdi:printer-outline$$", and the legend partial only replaced a glyph that was the whole legend, so the NAV grid and the PDF printed the raw token. Swap every $$set:name$$ for its glyph after escaping, and count a glyph as one character for the key's long/xlong sizing. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Bottom-right corner (pos 51): a macro that holds Alt for as long as the key is down and taps PrintScreen once (PrintScreen is KEY_SYSRQ on Linux; HID SysReq maps to nothing), so a Magic SysRq command letter can be tapped on BASE after releasing SYS|NUM. NAV's Alt+PrtSc stays: on its own the kernel passes it through on release. +184 B flash, +176 B RAM on the left half. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…n SYS|NUM MEDIA (left hand, free while the right thumb holds the layer): screen brightness up/down on E/D, the same with Super on W/S (external monitors), F21 = XF86TouchpadToggle on B. SYS|NUM: C_AL_CALC on the top-right corner beside the numpad, Super+Alt+L (lock) on B. Labels for the drawing and the site grids. No size change on the left half (bindings swap &trans in place). SYS|NUM: &SYSRQ moves from the bottom-right corner (pos 51) to pos 25, right below C_AL_CALC. MEDIA: F14-F19 across the left number row and F24 on T, spare keys for host binds (xkb names F14-F18 XF86Launch5-9; F22/F23 are touchpad on/off and F13 is the game layers' push-to-talk, so those stay out). The MEDIA page gets a table of what the upper F-keys arrive as on Linux; the memory budget is refreshed from a local left build. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Change log for this session (2026-10-29): the owner reviewed the rendered keymaps of dacc1b0/3d57e87 and asked to (1) move SysRq from the bottom-right corner to right below the calculator (pos 51 → 25) and (2) put the remaining upper F-keys on MEDIA as plain F-keys for host binds rather than consumer codes. Placed F14–F19 on the left number row and F24 on T; F13/F20/F21–F23 stay off because xkb already gives them meanings (Tools / mic mute / touchpad) and F13 is the game layers' push-to-talk. Docs: F-key table on the MEDIA page, SysRq position on SYS|NUM, PDF caption, memory budget from a local left build (the F-key/SysRq moves measured 0 B). The niri binds for the new keys are planned in the dotfiles repo, not here. |

Not F13 (game-layer push-to-talk), F20 (mic mute), F21–F23 (touchpad in xkb).Docs: MEDIA and SYS|NUM pages, a table of what the upper F-keys arrive as on Linux, the PDF's MEDIA caption, memory budget (left 472840 B / 128530 B, +184 B / +176 B over v3.4.0, the SysRq macro).
All other layers and the hold-tap behaviours are unchanged from v3.4.0.
