AI helpers for maintaining the repo (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, skills) #18

Most of NMSii's maintenance is done with AI coding agents. Their conventions belong in the repo, where they help the maintainer, contributors who use an agent, and the agents themselves.

• CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md (Claude Code, Codex and others):
  • how the repo is laid out
  • every routine action is a mise task (mise-tasks/<group>/)
  • how to test (mise run test, ci:local) and how to work in a git worktree
  • commit and PR conventions, and how merging and deploying work under the branch ruleset
  • the CI policy: one job, no wasted runs
• Project skills (.claude/skills/) for the recurring jobs:
  • after a game patch: game:version → extract:all → extract:diff → tests → the guide numbers
  • triage a portal-address issue
  • merge and deploy a PR
  • cut a release (once there are binaries, see Desktop app with Tauri v2 #14 / Evaluate Rust + ratatui for the CLI, TUI and MCP server #15)
• Agent definitions (.claude/agents/) for delegated work: a reviewer, a data-pipeline agent, a site agent.
• Permissions and hooks (.claude/settings.json): allow the read-only tasks, ask before anything that changes GitHub settings.

Nothing here is required to contribute; it only makes agent-assisted work consistent.
