Chef Gem

Chef Gem is a React-based AI recipe assistant. This project was built as a learning exercise to practice React fundamentals while integrating Google's Gemini AI API.

Users can enter the ingredients they have on hand, and Chef Gem uses AI to suggest a recipe or dish they can make.

📦 Installation

Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/prathmyx/Chef-Gem.git

Navigate to the project folder:

cd chef-gem

Install dependencies:

pnpm install

Start the development server:

pnpm dev

🔑 Environment Variables

Create a .env file in the project root and add your Gemini API key:

VITE_GEMINI_API_KEY=your_api_key_here
