The PR seems fine. I think it would help to have #30 merged into it to see how it improves. |

We need to make a decision if we're going to remove the dead code or deprecate it. In regards merging. |

Remove it IMO. I'd only deprecate if it were a minor release, but this is a major BC release so it makes sense. |
