Supersedes #763 (thanks for the pointer). #411 wasn't quite right - we definitely want to render diffs in linear, and forcing sRGB doesn't necessarily fix the bug in all cases anyway. So linear is now specified. Chromium is thereby forced to hit the software decode fallback, and a blob URI with a PNG is injected back into the feImage element after load.
