node-hgt no longer maintained

It seems node-hgt is no longer being maintained, with the last version being published to NPM in 2020.

I have created a fork here: https://github.com/glideandseek/node-hgt which is published to NPM as @glideandseek/node-hgt.

I have been using this fork for production workloads (~40-100 million elevation retrievals per day) over the last 1.5 months and noticed no regressions.

This fork has the following changes:

• Requires node >= 22
• Removes the outdated polyfill libraries for promise & extend
• Removes request in favour of native fetch
• Updates all other dependencies (primarily lru-cache)
• Moves from tape to vitest for unit tests

Removal of some of these packages has reduced the package download size from 208kb to 17kb

Hi @clementallen! This sounds awesome. Indeed, I don't maintain this library any more and haven't for a really long time, I simply don't use it anywhere.

Sounds a bit scary that you're running this on production workloads, but also really cool that you found it useful!

If you like, I can update the README to refer to your project and npm module, indicating this repo is no longer maintained.
