Hi, I'm Patrick! 👋

I build high-integrity software and AI-driven ecosystems, with a focus on Agentic Engineering: turning AI agents, LLMs, and autonomous workflows into reliable, secure, and production-ready systems.

As CTO of Bütema AG, I combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership across AI, retail technology, cloud architecture, and scalable product platforms.

🧠 Agentic Engineering & LLMs

  • Agentic Systems: Designing autonomous agents, multi-agent workflows, tool integrations, memory, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • LLM Engineering: Evaluating, fine-tuning, integrating, and operating local and cloud-based language models.
  • Reliable AI: Building observable and maintainable agent workflows with clear trust boundaries, validation, and failure handling.
  • AI Governance: Certified AI Officer with a focus on responsible AI adoption and the EU AI Act.
  • Application Architecture: Production systems using TypeScript, NestJS, React, PostgreSQL, Swift, and Azure.

🦞 My AI Setup

Neo is my personal OpenClaw agent. It tracks GitHub issues, monitors relevant project activity, and conducts targeted research to keep development work and technical decisions moving.

My local AI environment runs across a Mac Studio and Mac mini, combining OpenClaw workloads with local LLMs and cloud models. PickerMux connects locally hosted LM Studio models directly with my Codex Desktop workflow.

🌱 Open Source

  • PickerMux: Use local LM Studio models directly from the Codex Desktop model picker while keeping native Codex models available. PickerMux provides namespaced model routing, accurate context information, capability certification, and strict credential isolation.
  • SourceBraid: A local-first workflow for turning web sources into durable Markdown archives that remain under the user's control.
  • OpenClockwork: Self-hosted time tracking and attendance designed around real-world German working-time workflows.

🏢 Building at Bütema AG

At Bütema AG, I lead the technical vision for Digital Signage, Mobile ERP, AI services, and connected retail platforms.

  • Mobile ERP: Real-time applications connecting store operations with enterprise merchandise systems.
  • Digital Signage: CMS, device, and infrastructure platforms for global screen and LED networks.
  • AI & Automation: Production AI services such as KIra, our assistant for automated retail workflows.
