Palladium is a decentralized, peer-to-peer electronic cash system derived from the Bitcoin protocol. It was originally launched by NotRin7 in March 2024, with the whitepaper later revised by davide3011 and Maurito83. Palladium keeps Bitcoin's battle-tested SHA-256 Proof-of-Work security model while tuning the protocol for faster, cheaper transactions — with no premine and a fully transparent distribution from the genesis block.
Palladium Core v2.0.0 also adds full Taproot support (BIP340/341/342/350),
bringing Schnorr signatures and bech32m (plm1p...) addresses for better privacy and
smaller, cheaper transactions.
