This PR updates the demo to be up to date in 2026

  • update O3DE version 2310.2 source -> 2605.0 SDK
  • update ROS 2 launcher from Galactic/Humble to Jazzy
  • update build instructions to use SDK instead of source
  • update build instructions to pull o3de-extras release instead of the source
  • update instructions to use GameLauncher instead of the Editor if not needed
  • add mouse disable registry
  • remove unused reflection probes to reduce the size
  • redo Dockerfile to follow the same changes as in the updated build instructions
  • add preview image

The project was built using the updated instructions locally (Ubuntu 2404 with Jazzy) and in Docker.

Marking as a draft: the link to pull the SDK needs to be updated after 2605 release.

Builds and runs correctly, but I was unable to connect the Nav and Simulation docker containers together (ROS2 network was not working correctly). But it might be due to many reasons (i am using Ubuntu 22.04, connected to two VPNs at once).

I've tested the build on host ubuntu 24 with jazzy. Works as expected (O3DE and Nav).
