Changing code or schema

What and why: the profile README's software cards lost their star pills when they moved to the site's own cards. A software card now ends in a stars button (★ and the count, linking to the stargazers), so the site, the embeds and any export keep it.

  • config/stars.json: a snapshot of each software repo's stars, written by scripts/collect-stars.mjs; refresh-stars.yml proposes a new one monthly as a PR (like the contributions list). A repo that can't be read keeps its last count.

  • stars is a link key (cardLinks), so buttons:all shows it last and buttons:code, stars places it. No schema change: it is synthesised, not stored.

  • Counts are shown at any size (3 ★ included); a threshold would be a one-line change if wanted.

  • npm run test:schema passes

  • Unit tests (569) and npm run build pass; new tests hold a count for every package and the button's place

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

A software card's last button is its repository's GitHub stars, read from
config/stars.json: a snapshot scripts/collect-stars.mjs rewrites and
refresh-stars.yml proposes monthly as a pull request. A repository whose
count cannot be read keeps its last one. It is the 'stars' key among a
card's buttons, so a preset can place or drop it.

buttons:code, stars was rejected: 'stars' was a key a card offered but not one
a name could ask for. Tested for every key a software card offers.
