Written in Sun

CI status

Supported Platforms

Operating system Architecture
Linux (static musl binaries) x86_64 (AMD64), ARM64 (AArch64)
macOS 14+ Apple Silicon (ARM64)

Install

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/namo-robotics/process_monitor/main/scripts/install.sh | bash

Installs the latest stable Sun package, or the dev build if no stable release exists. The executable and HTML resource stay together under ~/.local/lib/process_monitor; ~/.local/bin/process_monitor links to the installed executable. Set PREFIX to change the installation prefix. Requires a published release. Ensure ~/.local/bin is on your PATH.

Usage

A CPU and memory process monitor written in Sun, with colored top-five history graphs and recording/replay.

process_monitor
process_monitor --top 5 --sort cpu
process_monitor --record session.jsonl
process_monitor --replay session.jsonl
process_monitor --ui both # terminal + http://127.0.0.1:8080

↑/↓ select · c/m CPU/memory · 5/0/a top 5/10/all · t/k terminate/kill · Space pause · ? help · q quit. Use --help for options.

The offline web dashboard is available on Linux x86_64 with --ui web or --ui both; use --port to change its localhost port. It displays the same samples and history as the terminal, including replay.

ROS 2 process labels are also supported.
