Fatal error when installing pdoTools 3.0.3-pl

Installing the latest pdoTools 3.0.3-pl package results in a fatal error, because the vendor folder is missing.

As a temporary workaround, you can go to core/components/pdotools in a terminal and run the composer install --no-dev command.

Clean MODX 3.2.0 installation
PHP 8.4

Folks, note that the install issue for pdoTools is caused by a bug in MODX that has been fixed in the 3.2.1-dev branch but hasn't been released yet (see the PR for the bug fix). If you've already tried to install pdoTools then you may have to perform the composer fix mentioned above. Otherwise, if you apply the change in the referenced PR before updating pdoTools you should be Ok.

@smg6511 I applied the changes from the PR you mentioned in a test install, but unfortunately it doesn't change the outcome for me.

I also don't really understand how this fix addresses the issue of the missing vendors folder for pdoTools.. It seems to be an ExtJS change? Even if it that would work in the manager, it still won't affect installs via CLI tools like Gitify..

@hugopeek - Right, the change is in the JS; the bug was interrupting (but not necessarily completely halting) the install process for many Extras. That said, it may not be the whole story, but seemed the likely problem — especially considering I've not had problems before the current version of MODX or after the patch I mentioned when installing the current version of pdoTools.

A couple notes:

• As you'd probably anticipate, the patch I mention would not affect anything post-install (of pdoTools)
• You'd need to either have the system setting compress_js set to “No” or you'd need to re-build the JS for the patch to take effect

If what I mention above doesn't help, the problem most likely resides in pdoTools itself or maybe in your environment.

Sterc has forked and is taking over development of this as far as I know. @MrRoco released this version that I know of. https://github.com/sterc/pdotools

This worked for me in the terminal:

.../public_html/core/components/pdotools [0] $ composer-php8.4 install --no-dev
