Hi @leeping and contributors,

I am interested in utilizing the RDF fitting target functionality introduced in this pull request.

I noticed that this PR currently has merge conflicts with the master branch. Could you please clarify:

• Is the code in this PR functional/stable enough in its current state to be used locally?
• Are there any plans to resolve the conflicts and merge this feature into the main branch?

I would be glad to test this branch.

It's been a long time since I worked on this, around 2018, not sure how serious the conflicts are. I can have a look and since we worked on this we have AI now might make this easier haha

Indeed, AI should make resolving those older conflicts much smoother. Please let me know once you have an updated branch. I appreciate your help!

First AI enabled pass here: #323 Ill give it some more scrutiny later but examples with LJ fluids seem to work as expected :)
