WordPress_Check

🇬🇧 Read in English | 🇪🇸 Leer en Español

🇬🇧 In-Depth WordPress Reconnaissance

WordPress_Check is an automated Python tool designed for Pentesting environments and CTFs. It allows you to input large lists of domains in CSV format and perform an in-depth multithreaded scan to identify WordPress installations, combining passive and active detection techniques.

Key Features

  • In-Depth Reconnaissance (Dual Check):
    • Tier 1 (Fast): Direct HTTP requests (requests) analyzing the source code for default WordPress paths (wp-content, wp-includes).
    • Tier 2 (Deep): Automated integration with wpscan under the hood to bypass false negatives where common paths are obfuscated, utilizing random User-Agents and skipping automatic DB updates to gain speed.
  • Multithreading: Custom Thread Pool implementation (10-20+ threads) to scan hundreds of domains in seconds.
  • Visual Interface: Integrated dynamic progress bar (tqdm) and formatted output with ANSI color codes to monitor hits and timeouts in real-time.
  • Dynamic CSV Reading: Allows the user to specify the exact column (A, B, C...) from which to extract the domains, automatically skipping headers.
  • Multi-format Export: Supports dumping results to:
    • TXT (Simple list).
    • CSV (Tabular format).
    • JSON (Optimized structure for direct import into databases).

Requirements and Dependencies

The script requires Python 3 and the following tools/libraries.

  1. Install Python dependencies:
pip install requests tqdm
  1. Install WPScan (Required for Tier 2 scanning):
  • On Kali Linux:
sudo apt install wpscan
  • On other systems (Ruby):
gem install wpscan

Usage

Run the script from your terminal. It does not require administrator privileges by default, unless your local WPScan installation requires it.

python3 WordPress_Checkv1.py

Execution Flow:

  1. Option 1: Enter the path to your CSV file and the letter of the column containing the domains/IPs.
  2. Option 2: Specify the number of simultaneous threads (10 is recommended) and start the scan.
  3. Option 3: Export the positive results in the desired format.

Disclaimer

This script has been developed strictly for educational purposes and for use in authorized security auditing environments and CTF platforms. The use of this tool against infrastructure without the explicit consent of the owners is illegal. The author is not responsible for the misuse of the tool.

  1. Instalar dependencias de Python:
pip install requests tqdm
sudo apt install wpscan
  • En otros sistemas (Ruby):
gem install wpscan

Uso
