node/api/public/landing/register.html, "You're in!" guide:

  • claude.ai is the first and default tab (Claude Code is hidden until picked). The LLM-734 funnel's guide_shown event reads the active tab, so it will now record claude-ai.
  • claude.ai steps reordered: 1 Add the MCP integration → 2 Make it automatic (required) — the load-memory block + Copy, with "Without this step, Claude ignores the connector in your later chats." → 3 Start a new conversation (+ the usage tips) → 4 Save your credentials.

Templates: no change. The live welcome-note template (id 11) already runs connector (steps 1–3) → block (step 4) → new chat (step 5) and says step 4 is what makes Claude use the memory. The block text itself is unchanged, so the four copies (register.html, oauth-connect-page.js, templates 1 and 11) stay identical.

HTML only; no tests touch it.

…er the connector step

Most signups are claude.ai users (11 of 19 picked the Companion dream mode),
but the guide opened on Claude Code, and the load-memory block sat after
"Start a new conversation" as if optional. Without it claude.ai never calls
read_instructions, so the connector goes unused after the first chat.

- claude.ai is now the first and default tab.
- "Make it automatic (required)" is step 2, before "Start a new
conversation", and says Claude ignores the connector without it.
- The welcome-note template already has this order (connector, block, new
chat), and the block text is unchanged, so no template migration.
