The official ffrwd/* shelf, MIT licensed. Each directory is one
package — the ffrwd.json the compiler reads, the SQL it names, and,
where a package ships wasm, the cargo workspace that builds it.
Install any of them with ffrwd install ffrwd/<name>; the registry
at ffrwd.video serves the published versions.
| package | what it is |
|---|---|
core/ |
the functions the starter recipes are made of: a rendition ladder whose rungs are arguments, the audio renditions beside it, a width-only scale, the two-pass GIF palette |
examples/ |
the starter shelf, recipes only — a rendition ladder, manifest-to-mp4, poster frames, a contact sheet, motion thumbnails |
mask_tools/ |
composition over a matte, video and audio, over native ffmpeg — blur, mosaic, spotlight or cut out what a matte marks; mute or bleep where an audio mask is 1, the mask cut from cue rows by a small wasm module |
depth/ |
monocular depth as a matte, hosted in wasm — near bright, far dark, beside the picture for everything that reads a matte |
shots/ |
hard-cut detection, hosted in wasm: a {"start_t": s, "shot": n} row on every frame, the shot stepping at each cut |
Two official packages live in their own repositories for licensing
reasons: ffrwd/yolo26 (AGPL-3.0, after its weights) and ffrwd/moq
(Apache-2.0).
From the package's own directory (depth/, shots/ and mask_tools/
ship modules):
cargo build --target wasm32-wasip2 --release
depth, simple_detector, spans_mask and tone are nodes written
with ffrwd-node, which carries the world they are built against, and
the three packages holding them need ffrwd 0.29, whose ffrwd/wasm is
0.19.1. Publishing is ffrwd publish from the package directory, which
validates everything first.
