FluxDown is a free and open-source multi-protocol download manager for macOS, with native builds for both Intel and Apple Silicon. It supports HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, BitTorrent, eD2K, HLS and DASH, and splits downloads into segments dynamically the way IDM does.
There is no downloads category in the list, so I put it under Utilities in alphabetical order, right after Fluid.
