* Bump androidx.compose:compose-bom to 2026.08.00 Reproduces Dependabot PR #21 as a local commit per project convention. Verified locally: build, unit tests, and lint all pass. * Bump androidx.appcompat:appcompat to 1.8.0 Reproduces Dependabot PR #20 as a local commit per project convention. Refreshes the now-stale comment (1.7.1 was "latest stable, 1.8.0-rc01 excluded as prerelease" -- 1.8.0 is now the real stable release). Verified locally: build, unit tests, and lint all pass. minSdk 23 requirement is a non-issue (project's minSdk is already 30). Can't verify on-device here, but the changelog notes a config-dispatch fix in AppCompatActivity for per-app locales (b/321896385) -- directly relevant to this app's in-app language selector (point 30/43) -- worth a quick on-device sanity check of that screen next time it's tested on a real phone.
