Summary

  • Skip supported files containing invalid UTF-8 bytes instead of raising UnicodeDecodeError.
  • Continue loading subsequent valid documents.
  • Preserve existing document loading behavior and metadata.
  • Added regression tests for invalid UTF-8 files and continued loading.

Validation

  • pytest -q — 46 passed
  • ruff check src tests — all checks passed
