CODEOWNERS now handles reviewer assignment for skill-drift PRs, making the inline reviewer lookup and assignment step redundant. Remove the "Assign reviewers to opened PRs" step along with the OPENED_PR_NUMS tracking array and PR number retry loop that only existed to feed it.
