Simulation, virtual commissioning, and 3D HMI for machine builders and automation engineers — built on Unity, delivered to the browser.
Website · Live Web Demo · Documentation · Unity Asset Store · Unity Verified Solution
realvirtual.io turns Unity into a platform for industrial digital twins: build a virtual model of a machine or line, connect it to real PLCs (Siemens S7, Beckhoff TwinCAT/ADS, OPC UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, Universal Robots, ABB, Denso), and run virtual commissioning before the hardware exists. The same model doubles as a 3D HMI, a sales demo, a training tool, and an operator dashboard.
We follow an open-core model: start free with the Starter edition and the open-source browser viewer; advanced engineering features are commercial.
- realvirtual.io for Unity — the digital twin and virtual commissioning framework. The Starter edition is free; Professional adds CADLink (STEP CAD import), the full PLC interface library, and more. On the Unity Asset Store.
- realvirtual WEB — open-source (AGPL-3.0), browser-based 3D HMI and digital twin viewer. Three.js / TypeScript, no installation. Load any GLB/glTF and view it live, connect to real PLCs via WebSocket or MQTT. Try the demo →
- MCP Servers — let AI assistants like Claude inspect, control, and debug a running digital twin via the Model Context Protocol: io.realvirtual.mcp (Unity) and realvirtual-MCP (Python / WEB).
