⚡ Bolt: Optimize project images in ProjectsView - #151
Conversation
💡 What: Replaced Astro's `<Image>` component inside a React `.tsx` file with a standard `<img>` tag and shifted image optimization logic to the `.astro` server-side file using `getImage()` and `import.meta.glob`. 🎯 Why: Astro's `<Image>` component is unsupported and fails inside React UI components. Loading unoptimized, raw hero images (like 2MB+ `.jpeg`/`.png`) heavily hurts performance (LCP, bandwidth). 📊 Impact: Preserves Astro's build-time performance benefits (WebP conversion, auto-sizing) inside interactive React components, preventing unoptimized image loads on the Projects page. 🔬 Measurement: Run `pnpm run build` and inspect the generated HTML or network tab; the image sources for the project cards will be properly hashed, resized `.webp` files (e.g., `/_astro/space-cat.HASH.webp`).
