  • Dev server morphs the new HTML into the live DOM on a content edit instead of reloading, so scroll, focus, selection and media survive; asset edits still reload
  • A package shipping JS must declare js_rehydrate = true and push a window.__rheoRehydrate callback, else its page falls back to a reload
  • A configured [packages.<ns>] releases namespace caches by host instead of in the shared Typst cache
