There are multiple ways you can contribute: adding new project entries, correcting my mistakes, or simply just tidying things up.
The goal of this list is to eventually become a comprehensive catalog of everything private server and online game revival project related. However, we want this to be a curated list of high quality software, so there are some requirements for projects to be accepted into the list, notably they:
- MUST have their source code in an easily accessible and reproducible form
- MUST be unofficial implementations written from the ground up
- MUST have at least some degree of functionality
If one or more projects hold enough significance to warrant their addition, they may be considered to be added to the Extras list instead.
We do not accept paid and/or gatekept projects, and you should not support such projects either.
When adding entries, you should reference how existing ones are written to ensure consistency and accuracy.
If you have any questions, feel free to create an issue. If you have anything neat to add to the list, open a pull request!
