SegmentedModeler Extension Ideas

The segmented modeler could benefit from the following extensions:

• Support for multiparameter models (need to add segmented model support in the multi parameter modeler)
• Support for several change points in performance behavior, so instead of just 2 models one could have n models support
• This would also require adjustments to the console printouts and GUI visualizations to support n models
• if we support actual math notation in the tree view of Extra-P, we could write down the models more nicely not just by adding several columns of text per row
• The figure below shows a notation example
