[ML] Raise the version bump DRA wait timeout to 480 minutes - #3242
Merged

Conversation
Raise both the fetch-dra-artifacts step timeout and TIMEOUT_SECONDS in wait_version_bump_dra.py from 240 to 480 minutes. Bump PR CI alone takes ~7h before DRA starts, so 3 x 4h attempts wasn't enough. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Raises the version bump DRA wait from 240 to 480 minutes per attempt, both the
fetch-dra-artifactsstep timeout (patch and minor phase 2 generators) andTIMEOUT_SECONDSindev-tools/wait_version_bump_dra.py. Retry limit stays at 2.Why: the DRA wait starts as soon as the bump PR is opened (
bump_version.shenables auto-merge and doesn't wait). Bump PR CI takes ~7h before auto-merge, then DRA takes another 1-1.7h. With 240 min per attempt x 3 attempts we get a 12h window, which is too tight:480 min x 3 gives a 24h window. Both values need to change: the script exits 1 when
TIMEOUT_SECONDSis reached, so bumping only the step would still fail at 4h.Same timeout change as in elastic/beats#53745 and elastic/fleet-server#7946.
Testing:
py_compileon the 3 files, and ran both generators locally to check the emitted step hastimeout_in_minutes: 480with retry limit 2. The pipeline only runs on main when triggered by the centralized version bump, so the first real run will be the next patch bump.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
