Which jar do I need? The one for your loader and Minecraft version. See Installation.

Do I need BlockDesigner? No. BlockCompanion loads .schem, .litematic and .nbt files too. BlockDesigner adds the live link. See Formats and BlockDesigner.

Does it update itself? No. It never contacts the internet. Replace the jar yourself.

Where do I put schematics? <game folder>/blockcompanion/schematics.

Scrolling does not move my schematic. Hold the selection tool (a stick by default) and look at the box. Shift+scroll moves it.

Does it work on a server without the mod? Yes for ghosts and easy place on vanilla and Paper servers. Sharing and AutoBuild need BlockCompanion on the server (mod or plugin).

Does the plugin work on Folia or Sponge? No. It works on Paper, Spigot and other Bukkit-API servers. See Server Plugin.

Why did AutoBuild not start? Your linked chests may be short of an item (hover the button to see which), or the server may have AutoBuild off or you lack blockcompanion.autobuild.

Can I change colours or keys? Yes, in the settings screen (Colours and Keys sections), including a colour-blind safe preset.
