The test suite is back. The most notable thing is that the SCSI emulation has been reworked, though will need more work.

As for the version number, I'll still need to diagnose audio crash bugs, fix Mesh controller bugs, implement a cached interpreter, etc. before I go to Alpha 1.05.

πŸŽ… Merry Christmas. You can run Quake now.

(This is a temporary stub until a proper release is made.)

Thanks to eMaculation user emendelson for providing the Mac binary.

The big difference in this version is that you can now format disks using the hard disk setup program now. No need for tweaks or third-party programs anymore. A full-screen mode, plus zooming options, are now available. There's also some changes to the debugger.

Some pretty substantial fixes this time around, namely that Mac OS X 10.0, 10.1, and 10.2 finally work. We're also making some progress in a few other places (see if you can spot them). The debugger also has some functionality added to it (and more to come in the next version).

After six years of development, we're proud to present our first pre-release. While there are many improvements, features, and bug-fixes that will need to be implemented, we'd like to give you a taste as to our current direction with this emulator.
