Sign-up, sign-in, sessions, wave login, and the owner on a channel record are Wave features, decided 2026-09-30 and recorded as resolved question 15.6 with its reasoning. Principles 1 and 4, the non-goals, the Creator role, the data model, the retention line, and the roadmap now describe optional sign-in that is off on any instance that does not configure it.
